Date Auction is one of the biggest annual fundraising event that was originally hosted by the Asian American Student Intercollegiate Association (AASIA) for the past sixteen years before transitioning under UVSA Gulf Coast.

This year is extremely special, for that it includes all TEN VSAs in the Gulf Coast: Loyola Asian Student Organization (LASO)Mississippi State University Vietnamese Student AssociationTulane University Vietnamese Association (TUVA)University of Mississippi Vietnamese Student AssociationUNO VASAUniversity of South Alabama VSAUniversity of Southern Mississippi Vietnamese Student AssociationVietnamese Student Association at LSUVietnamese Student Organization at UL, and Xavier University of LA Vietnamese Association - XULAVA. Each school will represent their school by performing a dance, followed by a skit that goes according to their theme. Between each performance and skit, a school will present an auctionee/auctionees to showcase a special talent. Those who are attending will have a chance to “bid” one of our amazing auctionees.

All proceeds will go towards this year’s Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP), which is Pacific Links Foundation. Pacific Links Foundation leads counter-trafficking efforts at the frontiers of Vietnam by increasing access to education, providing shelter and reintegration services, and enabling economic opportunities.

They follow the at-risk population and spread of human trafficking to best respond to their needs. Their work is community-based, factory-based and school-based. Their Goals:
- Empower women as powerful agents for social change in their communities.
- Promote exchange of skills and expertise to Vietnamese communities to foster sustainable development.
- Educate Policemen/women who guard the borders of Vietnam to identify trafficking victims, and how to approach them, so the victims can be sure that the officers are there to help.
